After reading this book, all I can ask is how the heck does she expect me to wait another freaking year to read the next (and last, frowny face) installment in her Vlad series.
I love her books. I read Halfway to the Grave on a whim and since then have read all her books. This one does not disappoint. As anyone who's read her stories knows, she spins a wild tale that never has a dull moment.
Although, I wasn't impressed with the skinning and sorta rape scenes, they make her books realistic, if a little sadistic. Cause EWWW...that is all I am saying. I can't say she's at all fearful of offending readers with her in your face violence that really makes her books come to life.
This story starts with Leila in full on spy mode...lol. Jump to her husband, possessive beast that he is covering her with his aura again, this time to prevent her from using her gifts. Uh-oh, any woman out there knows what that move got him...yep no nooky. That doesn't last long because he's melt your skin off hot though.
Then our lovely man runs off to places unknown and yep, you guessed it, in comes the villain. He takes down the castle, gasp. How dare he, steals Leila and torture commences...Vald of course goes insane and burns hotter than the fires of hell.
Then rescues her with a little help from his friends.
Finally we see our favorite lovers back together again, yay. So then they finally get the bad guy in the end, but low and behold a new enemy is discovered, an even badder baddy...sigh. Now, we have to wait till 2016 to see what happens. So I ask again, how can I wait that long, and what will I do when it's over.
Sniffle, whine, grumble....sighing.
Guess we'll just have to manage, and hope that she decides to start another fabulous series we will love.
So this one gets a rating of :: Excellent Personal Experience or EPE with an added star just cause...it was fabulous.
